Andrena (Simandrena) lepida SCHENCK, 1859

Polylectic: In Germany the species is polylectic, apparently foraging for pollen from only a few species, including Sinapis arvensis (Brassicaceae) and Prunus mahaleb (Rosaceae)(Westrich, 1989). On the Continent the spring brood visits Brassica (Brassicaceae); Stellaria media (Caryophyllaceae); Potentilla verna (Rosaceae) and Salix (Salicaceae). the summer brood visits Apiaceae (Kocourek, 1966), but it is not known if these are also pollen sources.

Tomozei (2014), citing others, states that the species forages on flowers of Anacardiaceae, Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Fabaceae and Rosaceae families (Kocourek 1966, Osytshnjuk 1977, Dylewska 1987).
