Pollen analysis suggests the species is polylectic (Müller, 1996; Müller & Kuhlmann, 2008), as
no plant family was represented by more than 95% of the total amount of pollen grains. Megachile
anatolica showed weak preferences for Plantaginaceae (Linaria-type) and Lamiaceae
(Stachys type), respectively (68.8% and 61.3%, respectively). Detailed analyisis showed additional visitation to Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae, Tamaricaceae (Soltani et al., 2017)
