Based on the label data, females prefer to collect pollen from plants of the families Asteraceae (mostly Inula britannica, Cichorium intybus and Picris hieracioides) and Plumbaginaceae (Limonium
gmelini), although some females were recorded on Apiaceae (Eryngium planum), Boraginaceae (Echium sp.), Caprifoliaceae (Scabiosa isetensis, Scabiosa ochroleuca) and Lamiaceae (Lycopus europaeus, Origanum vulgare, Stachys sp.). In addition, single males were collected on plants of Campanulaceae (Campanula sp.) and Convolvulaceae (Convolvulus arvensis)
