Oligolectic: Allium (Alliaceae)

In Germany, oligolectic on Allium (Allium sphaerocephalum, A. giganteum, A. rotundum, A. montanum, A. cepa, A. porrum)(Westrich, 1989), but in the Netherlands it also visits Melilotus alba (Fabaceae)and Sambucus racemosa (Caprifoliaceae)(Lefeber in litt.); the latter two species may only be nectar sources.
In Spain, the species is known to visit plants in the following families: Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Boraginaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Liliaceae. (Ornosa & Ortiz-Sánchez, 2004).
