Lecty uncertain but probably polylectic. As forage plants, Popov (1967) cites Alhagi kirgisorum (Fabaceae) Eryngium coeruleum (Apiaceae); Centaurea soltitialis, Centaurea squarrosa (Asteraceae), Capparis sp. (Capparaceae) (in Central Asia).
G. Pisanty (Discoverlife) gives Centaurea verutrum (Asteraceae) as a forage plant (in Israel). P. Niolo (Flickr) reports it on on Carlina sp. (Asteraceae) (Sardinia). In addition, Pisanty lists (pers. comm., 2016)Centaurea hyalolepis, Helianthus annuus (Asteraceae); Lavatera punctata (Malvaceae); Citrullus lanatus(Cucurbitaceae).
Reported to visit the following plants in Cyprus: Carlina lanata, Centaurea hyalolepis (Asteraceae); Eryngium creticum (Apiaceae) (Mavromoustakis, 1952; 1953; Varnava & Stavrinides, 2015).
