Andrena (Micrandrena) wollastoni Cockerell, 1922

The species is polylectic witha strong preference for Asteraceae (Kratochwil & Scheuchl, 2013). There are records of visits to 26 plant taxa belonging to 11 plant families (unpublished data from A. Aguiar, A. Kratochwil and J. Smit). Fellendorf et al. (1999) list the following forage species: Brassica sp., Cakile maritima, Sinapis sp. (Brassicaceae); Echium candicans, Echium nervosum (Boraginaceae), Reseda luteola (Resedaceae); Euphorbia (Euphorbiaceae). Apparently this species is a major pollinator of Brassica on Madeira island.

Kratochwil & Scheuchl (2013) add Sinapis arvensis, Sisymbrium officinale, Rapistrum rugosus, Raphanus raphanistrum (Brassicaceae); Sonchus oleraceus, Crepis vesicaria, Leontodon taraxacoides, Chrysanthemum segetum, Agyranthemum pinnatifidum, Ageratina adenophora (Asteraceae); Melanoselinum decipiens (Apiaceae); Aeonium glandulosum, Aichryson villosum (Crassulaceae), Geranium maderense (Geraniaceae); Centranthus calcitrapa (Caprifoliaceae)
