Polylectic: British pollen sources not known.
In Germany, the species is polylectic (Westrich, 1989). Peeters, Raemakers & Smit (1999) state that it is polylectic in the Netherlands, but shows a marked preference for Lamiaceae.
Pawlikowski & Kruszynski (1997) list Echium vulgare (Boraginaceae) and Lamium purpureum (Lamiaceae) as forage sources in Poland.
Maghni et al (2017) list the following forage sources in Algeria: Calendula arvensis, Centaurea solstitialis (Asteraceae); Sinapis arvensis (Brassicaceae)
