Probably oligolectic although details are lacking. Scheuchl (in prep., citing Warncke, 1974) lists small yellow-flowered Fabaceae as forage sources.
The species it has been recorded on in Cyprus include Vicia, Hymenocarpus circinnatus, Medicago marina, Trifolium physodes (Fabaceae); Calendula persica (Asteraceae) and Erodium sp. (Geraniaceae) (Mavromoustakis 1949, 1951, 1952, as A. clypeata Br.). The details of the nesting behaviour are not known.
