Vereecken, Risch & Cortis (in prep.) note that reports that Ophrys scolopax (Orchidaceae) is pollinated by patrolling males of Eucera (Hetereucera) barbiventris which pseudocopulate with the labellum of the flower are false, and that the likely species of orchid is O. picta.
