Trachusa (Archianthidium) laticeps (Morawitz, 1874)

A polylectic species with a strong preference for Lamiaceae and Fabaceae. Pollen analysis by Müller (1996) found 45.9% of pollen grains were of Fabaceae (mainly Genisteae) and 44.8% percent Lamiaceae pollen (more or less equally shared between Lamioideae and Nepetoideae)

(Müller, 1996) revealed the following pollen sources: Fabaceae, Cistaceae, Myrtaceae, Lamiaceae, Acanthaceae and Asteraceae.

Literature records (summarised in Kasparek, 2017) show visitation to Centaurea solstitialis (Dipsacaceae); Cephalaria alpina (Caprifoliaceae) and Vitex agnus-castus, Oreganum sp., Phlomis rigida (Lamiaceae); Digitalis paliurus (Plantaginaceae); Acanthus (Acanthaceae).
