A polylectic species: Centaurea jacea, Centaurea scabiosa, Centaurea cyanus (Asteraceae), Echium vulgare (Boraginaceae), Stachys recta, Ballota nigra (Lamiaceae), Salix sp. (Salicaceae)(Westrich, 1989).
Pesenko, Banaszak et al. (2000) state that the species is Oligolectic on Lamiacae. However, there are very few Polish records, and none appears to support this statement, and no further reference is given.
Ebmer (1971) lists Stachys (Lamiaceae) as a forage plant.
