Presumably a polylectic species. Pollen analysis has shown the species pollen loads to contain Taraxacum- and Achillea-type grains (Asteraceae) and Scabiosa-type (Dipsacaceae). The species will also visit Fabaceae.
Banaszak & Romasenko (1989) state that the species, whilst being polylectic, shows a marked preference for Asteraceae pollen, listing Arctium and Centaurea as forage sources.
