Oligolectic on Asteraceae with a preference for Cichorioideae (Amiet et al., 2004; Banaszak and Romasenko, 2001; Westrich, 1989). Müller (2018) states that the species is broadly oligolectic on Cichorioideae and Carduoideae (Asteraceae). He also adds Geranium (Geraniaceae) and Helianthemum (Cistaceae) as forage sources
