Colletes maidli Noskiewicz, 1936

A polylectic species. Müller & Kuhlmann (2008) list as pollen sources: Fabaceae, Brassicaceae, Myrtus, Eucalyptus (Myrtaceae) Resedaceae, Apiaceae, Lamiaceae, Tamarix (Tamaricaceae) and Euphorbiaceae based on 26 pollen loads from 23 different localities.

Specimens from Turkey were collected on the flowers of Eryngium creticum (Apiaceae)(Kuhlmann, M. & Özbek, H, in prep.).

Grace (2010) citing Mavromoustakis (1948; 1952) lists Rubus ulmifolius anatolicus (Rosaceae); Echinops spinosus (Asteraceae); Myrtus communis (Myrtaceae); and Nerium oleander (Apocynaceae)
as forage sources in Cyprus
