Lasioglossum (Sphecodogastra) calceatum (SCOPOLI, 1763)

Almost ubiquitous, but perhaps most plentiful in dry, warm margins and in woods (DE).

Found in a range of habitats, including parks and gardens. (IE)

Dry and open habitats eg swards, dry meadows, roadsides, arable field margins, forest fragments, woodland glades and margins (PL)

A wide range of habitats in agricultural areas including valley slopes with thermophilous vegetation, marginal areas (eg Roadside verges, Irrigation ditches near maize (Zea mays) fields, ditch edges) and cultivated fields of Oilseed Rape (Brassica napus)(BG)

In the Zaili-Iskogo Altai mountains it is typically found in the middle alpine zone from 1400 to 2000m above sea level (Marikovskiy, 1990). A small colony of this species was found in the Talas Alatai (Aksu-Zhabagly Gorge) at an altitude of 1360m. (KZ)
