Andrena (Andrena) praecox (SCOPOLI, 1763)

Flushed woodlands, heathland edge and undercliffs, supporting various Salix species (GB)

Found in rural locations where Salix is present rather than associated with a particular habitat type. (IE)

Moist habitats such as forest edges and clearings, in river valleys, floodplain forests and meadows, but it prefers heathlands and open woodlands where there is sufficient willow species (Salix), with which it is associated trophically. It inhabits the Swiss mountains, at altitudes up to 2,000 m asl (Beaumont 1958)(EU)
