This species lives in different habitats, such as slopes with shrubs, meadows, road embankments, gravel beaches and dunes. It can be found at an altitude of 1,400-1,600 m in Turkey (Warncke 1969a) and up to 2,650 m in Morocco (Grünwaldt 1976).
