In the Iberian peninsula, the species has been mostly recorded on Mediterranean coastal areas (Warncke 1976) and in phryganic shrublands (S. Roberts pers. obs. 1997). In Italy, it is widely reported from both semi-natural and agricultural environments (Quaranta et al. 2004)(EU).
