The species is found in a range of habitats although it seems to prefer humid areas, with records from damp coastal sites in Crete (S. Roberts pers. obs. 1991), and Mediterranean shrublands around Athens (Petanidou 1991) and in Sardinia (Quaranta et al. 2004). (EU)
