Ceratina (Euceratina) cyanea (Kirby, 1802)

Chalk grassland on south-facing escarpments (particularly in coombs and pockets which act as “sun-traps”), in abandoned sand quarries containing scrub, open rides in woodland and the margins of heathland (GB).

A wide range of habitats in agricultural areas including valley slopes with thermophilous vegetation, grass and shrub communities, marginal areas (eg roadside verges, Irrigation ditches near maize (Zea mays) fields, ditch edges) and cultivated fields of Radish (Raphanus sativus ‘Omega’) and Oilseed Rape (Brassica napus)(BG)
