It is thought that this species inhabits various inland wetlands such as shrub dominated wetlands, bogs, marshes, swamps, fens and peat lands. All along its rather small geographic range the species is associated with the psammophilous (sand-loving) vegetation alongside these wetland habitats (Belakova 1996)
