Osmia (Neosmia) bicolor (SCHRANK, 1781)

It is confined mainly to grassland and open woodland on chalk and limestone. On the Gower coast, West Glamorgan, it has been found both on cliffs and on base-rich dune systems. In Northamptonshire (near Brackley), the species has been found on the sand and gravel of a disused railway track (C. O’Toole, pers. comm.) (GB)
